Colorful Reminders of God’s Love | March 31st, 2021
Spring has definitely sprung! The leaves are filling in on the trees and the flowers are in full bloom. As my mother taught me to do on our walks together, I always take time to notice the beauty in nature.
Recently, I experienced something much needed for my spirit during my walk. God reminded me through the colors of the blooms just how much He truly loves me. I took a few snapshots so I could share…

Yellow represents His light that shines through me. He knew how dark this world would become, especially in these last days as the Bible foretold. Because of His love, He gives me everything I need to overcome the darkness and live in radiant hope.
“If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.” Luke 11:36

Red represents Jesus’ precious blood that He shed for me on the cross. He paid the highest price with His life so I could be forgiven of all my sin, no matter what I’ve done. That’s how much He loves and values me!
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. Ephesians 1:7-8a

Purple represents royalty. The moment I asked Jesus Christ to come into my life to be my Savior, I instantly became royalty. I was adopted as a child of the King! And He is preparing a beautiful place in His kingdom for me to live and be loved for all eternity.
In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:2-3

White represents purity. I know I can never do enough or be good enough to enter into heaven on my own. It is by God’s grace alone that I am saved from being eternally separated from Him. Once I repented, He fully forgave me for my past, present, and future sins and made me pure and righteous in His sight.
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21
The unfathomable love God has for me is the same love He has for you. He offers the free gift of eternal life to everyone, but it is up to you to accept that gift. No one can do it for you. Admit you are a sinner in need of a Savior and believe in your heart that Jesus died and was raised from the dead. When you call upon His name, you are eternally saved from your sin and will be with Him in heaven forever. There is no greater love than that!
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
